HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy directly accesses the subconscious mind to create change
Within the unconscious mind lies profound creativity and healing potential…
What is Hypnotherapy?
- Hypnosis is a procedure during which a therapist suggests that a client experience changes in sensations, perceptions, thoughts or behaviour.
- Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective process. Whilst under hypnosis the client is always in control of their situation, as they work together with the therapist.
- During hypnosis, the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed, natural state, while the subconscious mind remains awake and receptive to suggestion.
- By accessing the subconscious mind through hypnosis the therapist is able to work therapeutically with the client to create positive, long-lasting change.
Hypnotherapy is particularly beneficial for relaxation. Gregory invites the client to relax their body beginning with the head and progressively relaxing all the muscles in the body.
Hypnotherapy is Client Centred Therapy. The client is in full control at all times and can cancel anything you may say that does not feel right for them at any time. This allows the client to feel in control and the therapy be client centred and allows them to feel safe.
A client may be in a high level of stress with their mind racing at an incredible pace. This is where Gregory’s counselling skills, breathing techniques, therapeutic tools come in, helping his clients calm down before even hypnosis starts.
Yes! Empowering clients to recognize and use more of their abilities or personal resources skilfully is the foremost goal of hypnotically based therapeutic interventions.
